A few words about Total Ascent

Total Ascent is not an indication of how high we go but how much we climb upward.
If we climb 300 ft and then descent 400 ft ending 100 ft lower, our TA is still 300 ft as that's what we climbeb up.
If we go over 5 hills, each 200 ft high and each time go down a valley 200 ft deep we would end at the same height but our TA would be 1000 ft.
